The Heart Of A Who

The Heart of A Who: Honor: Romans 12:10

About This Message

1. WHAT IS HONOR?

…Honor one another above yourselves.
Romans 12:10 (NIV)

2. WHO—HONOR ONE ANOTHER

…Honor one another above yourselves.
Romans 12:10 (NIV)

Honor Spouses

Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in

an understanding way, as with a weaker partner, showing them honor as coheirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
1 Peter 3:7 (CSB)

Honor Parents/Children

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, because this is right.  Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, so that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land.
Ephesians 6:1-3 (CSB)

Honor Spiritual Leaders

The elders who are good leaders are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says: Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain, and the worker is worthy of his wages.
1 Timothy 5:17-18 (CSB)

Honor Everyone

Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the Emperor.
1 Peter 2:17 (CSB)

3. HOW—PUTTING PEOPLE ABOVE SELF

…Honor one another above yourselves.
Romans 12:10 (NIV)

Marriage is to be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled…
Hebrews 13:4 (CSB)

The fear of the Lord is what wisdom teaches, and humility comes before honor.
Proverbs 15:33 (CSV)
