Daniel 6

Integrity Is…

I.          A Lifestyle  (Reliability)

At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.   Daniel 6:4 (NIV)

Finally these men said, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”
Daniel 6:5 (NIV)

II.         Being willing to stand alone (Individuality)

Finally these men said, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”
Daniel 6:5 (NIV)

III.        Undistracted prayer  (Consistency)

When Daniel learned that the decree had been signed and posted, he continued to pray just as he had always done. His house had windows in the upstairs that opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he knelt there in prayer, thanking and praising his God.                                    Daniel 6:10 (MSG)

The officials went together to Daniel’s house and found him praying and asking for God’s help.
Daniel 6:11 (NLT)

IV.        Knowing God has your back  (Security)

At the first light of dawn the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den…My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths. They haven’t hurt me, for I was found innocent before Him. Also, I have not committed a crime against you my king.”
Daniel 6:19, 22 (HCSB)

I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me. In my integrity you uphold me.
Psalms 41:11-12 (NIV)

God said to Solomon As for you, if you walk before me in integrity of heart and uprightness, as David your father did, and do all I command and observe my decrees and laws, I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever
1 Kings 9:4-5 (NIV)

V.         Influencing others  (Responsibility)

Then King Darius sent this message to the people of every race and nation and language throughout the world: “Peace and prosperity to you! “I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever.
Daniel 6:25-26 (NLT)

In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
Matthew 27:44 (NIV)

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” 43 And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
Luke 23:42-43 (NLT)
