iCRAZY: Insecurity – Psalm 139

About This Message

There is some bad news and some good news. Insecurity is epidemic…but it is curable! Our goal is that you will develop an Immunity to insecurity

Why is this important? Because when we see ourselves as God sees us then we will not have the stress level that we do otherwise.

Where does insecurity come from, what are the areas?

  • Physical appearance
  • Personal tragedy
  • Comparing ourselves to others
  • The family you grew up in
  • Feeling too young or too old

Somebody somewhere told you that you couldn’t and you have believed a lie from the enemy…but today God is setting you free.

1. God knows everything about me

God wants to do something outrageous in your life but you have to know who you are.

God knows everything about you (and he still loves you).

O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. Psalm 139:1-4 (NLT)

He is omniscience. This is real love that god knows all about us and still loves us.

God knows everything about you and he still loves you.

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 (NLT)

2. God is Always With Me

I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! 8 If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. 9 If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, 10 even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. Psalm 139:7-10 (NLT)

3. God Created Me

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born. Psalm 139:13-16b

God Says You Are Valuable

4. I Should Live in Awe and Surrender to God

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Psalm 139:6 (ESV)

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. Psalm 139:23-24 (NLT)
