Fanatic: Not a Conqueror-Romans 8:37

About This Message

…in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (ESV)

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 (ESV)

1. Conquerors Win Physical Battles.  More Than Conquerors Win Spiritual/Eternal Battles.

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3 (NIV)

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (ESV)

2. Conquerors Win Because of They Can Do. More Than Conquerors Win Because of What Has Already Been Done.

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Romans 8:32-35 (ESV)

3. Conquerors Are Victorious Over Struggles. More Than Conquerors Are Victorious In Their Struggles

in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (ESV)

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope… Romans 5:3-4 (ESV)

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38 (ESV)
