We believe spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments:
1. A commitment to God and the Bible.
2. A commitment to significant Christian relationships.
To help develop these significant relationships, we have created Home Groups.
It is our goal to have every member of our church involved in either a Home Group. All of our groups are sermon-based discussion times designed to apply pastor Ryan’s weekly message.
Being a part of home groups at Edge can be defined in one word – Serve. Home Groups exist to Serve One Another, Serve the Church and Serve the Community.
If you’d like more information on joining a Home Group, email Jason@edgechurchcolorado.com.
Serve One Another
Serving one another is all about: care, prayer and share. We “care” for one another – that means walking alongside each other through both the highs and lows of life. We “pray” for one another – which is asking God to intervene in the lives of those around us. And lastly we “share” our faith with others – telling the world around us the good news of Jesus Christ. Through serving one another, we get to move from spectators to players in the life change that happens at Edge Church.
Serve the Church
The only entity which Jesus built is the local church. He is all about the local church and we should be as well. Our small groups lead out in serving the church with the motto, “It’s not ok, not to serve”. Christ said, “I’ve come to serve, not to be served” and small groups strive to live that out.
Serve the Community
Each small group takes time to get out of the home and into the community. We are all surrounded by people that need someone to give them a simple smile, extend a hand, lend an ear or even provide a meal. This has to be more than a one time deal so each group develops an ongoing partnership with a local organization or family in need. When all of our groups are in their communities making a difference, the impact is tremendous.
